Research for better health
What is Healthy@Work?
Healthy@Work is a commitment by the Tasmania Government to support the improved health and wellbeing of State Service employees.
It aims to support health and wellbeing initiatives in each State Service agency to encourage good nutrition and promote physical activity, as well as help in addressing issues such as smoking, alcohol and stress.
The Healthy@Work project is guided by Get Moving at Work: A resource kit for workplace health and wellbeing programs.
What is Partnering Healthy@Work (pH@W)?
An exciting partnership has been formed to improve the health of Tasmanian workers. Over a five-year period, researchers at the Menzies Research Institute and the University of Tasmania will evaluate the health and economic benefits of the Healthy@Work program. Click here for more information on pH@W aims.
The collaboration brings together the expertise of the researchers at Menzies Research Institute and University of Tasmania with health and policy practitioners in the Tasmanian State Service to address the feasibility, effectiveness and sustainability of workplace health promotion and to develop strategies for the future. Click here for a list of those involved in the project and their fields of expertise or positions.
How is pH@W Funded?
This study has been made possible by a Partnership Project grant from the National Health and Medical Research Council and the State Government of Tasmania.
