Hobart, Tasmania
7-11 April 2008
Presented by Professor David Hosmer
This five-day intensive course provides theoretical
and practical training for epidemiologists and
professionals of related disciplines in statistical
modelling, with particular emphasis on logistic
regression and survival analysis.
The increasingly
popular logistic regression and Cox proportional
hazards models have become standard methods
for regression analysis in the health sciences. The
first two and one half days will focus on logistic
regression and the last two and one half days will
concentrate on methods for censored time to event
data, survival analysis.
The programme for each day will consist of lectures
followed by guided computer analyses of real data.
It is suitable for those with some previous training
and experience in epidemiology and/or biostatistics,
especially linear regression methods.
