Dr Emily Hansen

Dr Hansen is a health sociologist. Since completing her PhD in 2001 she has worked in the field of primary health care research. She is currently coordinating the PHCRED RCBI program in the Menzies Research Institute.
Dr Hansen's research interests include lay perspectives on health and illness, the social construction of medical knowledge, managing chronic illness, smoking cessation and qualitative research.
