New TASHealth conference to focus on a healthier future

Over 150 of Tasmania's top health professionals with come together over this weekend to discuss the best way to improve the health of Tasmanians, at the inaugural TASHealth conference.

Over 150 of Tasmania's top health professionals with come together over this weekend to discuss the best way to improve the health of Tasmanians, at the inaugural TASHealth conference.

The clinical conference will address and discuss the role health research plays in improving the health of Tasmanians, quality and safety and patient care. It incorporates the final component of the Menzies 25th anniversary celebrations.

Keynote speakers for the event are internationally renowned cancer researcher Professor Ian Frazer and Dr Roscoe Taylor, Tasmania's Director of Public Health, Department of Health and Human Services. 

UTAS Vice Chancellor, Professor Peter Rathjen, will chair a thought-provoking group debate on "The best way to improve the health of Tasmanians is…." on Saturday, from 11.30am – 12.30pm.

The TASHealth conference is a joint venture of the University of Tasmania's Faculty of Health Science, School of Medicine, Menzies Research Institute Tasmania, Tasmanian Lead Clinicians Group and the Department of Health and Human Service
