IDEAL Study: Research


This study aims to apply high-quality research directly into a clinical setting to optimise the management of absolute cardiovascular risk and improve clinical care to those at high risk. All research is conducted on data that has been de-identified (personal information is not linked to any clinical data). Participation in this research is completely voluntary.

This research has been approved by the Tasmanian Health and Medical Human Research Ethics Committee (project H0015648).

Principal Investigator of the study, Professor James Sharman, is leading this research in collaboration with study partners and investigators at Menzies Institute for Medical Research and University of Tasmania.
