Honours Scholarships at Menzies

The Menzies Institute for Medical Research is the very grateful recipient of scholarships donated specifically to support Honours and PhD students at the institute. These scholarships, from organisations and individuals, are highly prestigious and are awarded to outstanding candidates. Menzies actively encourages the recipients of these scholarships to engage with the donors throughout the period of support. It is a great way to provide direct support and feedback for both students and donors.  Scholarships are transformative and enable our aspiring medical researchers and health professionals to focus on their studies knowing their financial needs are largely met.

HONOURS SCHOLARSHIPS

Honours Scholarships are available each semester.  Semester 1 applications generally open in August the preceding year and close at the end of October. Mid-year scholarships are generally open in April and close in June.

Before applying for a scholarship prospective candidates should investigate current areas of research strength at Menzies and must discuss their interests and options with the Graduate Research Coordinator and/or potential supervisors in the discipline where they wish to study.
